Every letter is introduced with a meaningful experience and a book. For 'Ww' we read the book,
Ask me to point to all the W words in the blog.....

We looked for letter Ww in our learning environment and brainstormed a few Ww words.

Ask my word detectives to look for the letter w in a magazine....

Tried making a W with our bodies....               Haneen went and helped his friends
Can you guess what Mason, Carlos & Matthew           problem solve and made a W...
                    needed to do?

worm                                           water                                              waves

walk                                                             wall                                    winter
  whale                         wet

Checking on our worms before we leave them for the weekend! We  checked that the bedding was
damp and moist. We made sure they had enough vegetables..
Counting the holes that we made for our worms to breathe..

Trying to look for the bubble of eggs on the worm......

In gym yesterday and today we learnt some important skills to make are gross motor movements strong...

Making a table to put our breakfast... Ask me how we made toasts.....

In gym learning to play hockey...
hockey stick  and a puck    .....

    We read the book,

Discussing seasons and the changes outside.... Ask me what was the weather like today?
How many W's in the title?  What happened to my cheeks when I was running with Mrs. Malik.

We read the book,

Ask me what are the primary colours. How colours can make other colours, patterns and shapes....

Kindergarten scientists observing how the celery absorbs the water through the veins...

primary colours                             secondary colours

The leaves turned blue....     Ask me which two colours did we mix...

WoW!....   we can see the veins.... Ask me how a plant grows
scientists exploring and making colours..

Beautiful colour exploration!
When we went out for recess, we went to observe our decomposing pumpkin....

Came in and did the life cycle of a pumpkin...

practiced our cutting skills and tried to understand out the correct sequence
of how a pumpkin grows

Ask me about the sequence of the life cycle of a pumpkin

What happens first, next, then and finally...     Ask me to point and tell you the sequence...
