Thursday, January 15

Tomorrow is Crazy Hair Day!
We are looking forward to seeing your hairstyles and hats.

Today we spent the whole day with Room 3 in our room
We read...

Ask me what we do with seeds...
...plant them in soil.
What did we do with our seeds....

Ask me how roots grow... down in the soil.

We planted our seeds for our garden.
Ask me what the word 'our' means... it belongs to us.

Ask me what we did first...

Observe the peat pellets with me..... and ask me.... pellets are floating in the water...

Ask me how long did it take for the pellets to become thick?
We set the timer for 15 minutes.... It took 7 to 10 minutes
As we watched. they became heavy and sank down
Asma said, "The water is getting less."-  good observation...
Ask me why?
What happened to the peat pellets?
The pellet is sinking as it absorbs water and swells up...
Where did we put the peat pellets?
Ask me why does our planting tray have holes...
What did we do with the seeds?
Look at the size....
We read the book,
Ask me what happens in this book...

Kindergarten scientists at work...
I
Observing our seeds.
What did we do next?

Why did we label our planting tray?
Thank you Mr. Beattie for making us a Food Scraps bin!
What do we put in the Food Scraps bin?

We wrote about planting our seeds.
What will help our seeds grow?
