We read the book,
For our virtue, this was a
good read about understanding and how we all are different. We all make mistakes
and everyday is a new day. When we accept an apology, we move on..

Our Kindergarten students have started learning abouts words and signs in our environment.
We walked around and looked for words and signs...
Lost and Found                      Main Office

Some of us noticed the word boil in Boiler and Elliana said,"It rhymes with soil."
Mason and Gabby said, "It rhymes with oil."

Ask me to explain these signs to you...

Ask me to tell you about these signs

Ask me what does this sign mean... Mr. Bronovac uses this all the time...
Caution the floor is wet.... it's slippery

We have so many signs and words that we can read around us

 We read the book,
Ask me to show you a sign and tell you what it means

Amir and Elliana are showing us that the STOP sign is shaped like an
Octagon. Courtnee is showing us that it has 8 sides

Elliana and Coutnee are pointing to the yellow table and telling us it is a hexagon
Amira is showing us that a hexagon has 6 sides
Having a conversation about signs and why we need signs
Ask me why?

We read a book,
We had a discussion about different labels and signs we see....

Ask me what  is this...
What does it do?
We call the office everyday before going outside and Mrs. Mckie
tells us the temperature. Ask me if it is too cold what do we do....

Point to the plants that are tall... and to the plant ithat are short...

Which plants needs more space... which plants needs less space...

Where are these gardens?

Notice from The School Council was sent home. They have a Casino to help raise funds for programs and supply equipment for our students at Vista Heights. School Council does not have enough parent volunteers and would like parents to join them this Friday and Saturday at Deerfoot
Casino. Please come to the school and sign up
or call Mr. Chad Hande at 403-291-5272. Thanks!
We read the book,
Ask me about a few opposite words that I saw in the garden

We read a few pages from,  Ask me if this a fiction book or  non-fiction book?

Point to the bud... and blooming lily
We started writing about, "How to plant a seed"
We talked about being respectful about our garden, things and people in
our Kindergarten Community..... Ask me what is going to happen to this bean plant now
Our Lettuce is sprouting.... we can see it without a magnifying glass

                                                      Our first pepper plant sprouting...
We threw away a few peat pellets Ask me why?
mould can make our plants sick just like aphids
Pepper plant under a magnifying glass

My Kindergarten scientists at work....
Making observations...

Ask me what we observed...   our thoughts
