Today, for Uu we read discussing how we have 
numbers around us..... In the word used the letter u says its name.

                 

 Ask me to look for numbers around the house and look for letter u words..

                 

We looked for more letter Uu words...

                                    Ask me what words did I find....

For U we read,

 We discussed the word 'up'. It begins with letter u and in this book it has a different meaning from going 'up' 

  

Ask  me to explain... going upstairs and cleaning up

We practiced making patterns..

                      Ask me to tell you my pattern and my core...

   

Ask me to tell you the core..

  Ask me to tell you the pattern of my Friend's...

We read,

 Ask me about this book... Point to the in in the title

                                                                 What sound does it make...

Mutt had no home....   

what is a stray dog....

 How does Mutt feel...                 Ask me to tell you the story

                                             Does Mutt find a home?

                                                 We printed letter Uu in our books..

We read, 

                              

Practiced sounding out letter U                           Point to the u and ask me the sound

counting and some rhyming words                       What did the hen do?

Ask me to think of a word that rhymes with

duck,  ring, fish, king, deep...

                                                    Ask me what I drew for letter Uu

We read   Ask me what is one more than 19...

             Which comes before 10.....       Which comes after 13

                   We practiced our numbers... which number come before or after a certain number

                                             We looked for words to match our numbers...

                                              Finished printing 7..

                                                   Ask me to look for 7 things ..
