Today Kindergarten students in room:8 went for our off-site evacuation walk to the Renfrew Education Centre with the Grade 5/6's. Thank you Grade 5/6's for walking with us,  for showing such good leadership characteristics and being so responsible. We enjoyed our learning walk with you!  On our walk was we did lots of reading and math was all around us.

There was a pattern in how I looked... to be sure I was safe

Vista Heights School

Find the word Vista on one of the signs...

We came to school and left right away for our walk and we only saw our caterpillars for  15 mins in  the morning...

                 And in those 15 minutes we observed 2 (two) caterpillars had made a J

              Mrs. Malik told us that the caterpillars started making a J today around 7.30 am

We observed our caterpillars again after lunch approximately around 12.45 pm

                                          and guess what we saw....

             

           
Ask mom and dad or an adult .... can they predict by looking at our expressions....

                                    The 2 J caterpillars had spun a chrysalis around them....

It took the 5 hours and 15 minutes.... to build a chrysalis around them... a hard shell

They  worked really hard

                            Ask me why I have to be careful and not bump the container....

 We read a few pages about Painted Lady from this book

                                   We completed our life cycle of a butterfly art project...
